EPA Lead & Copper Rule Survey
The Lead and Copper Rule Revision is a recently updated Federal regulation put in place by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to help inventory, manage, and mitigate the presence of lead and copper in public drinking water supply systems (including customer service lines). In order to be compliant with the new EPA standards, IRUA is required to compile a service line inventory of all water service lines. (A "service line" is the underground pipe connecting your home or business to IRUA's water main.)
In the interest of saving IRUA customers from funding the potential expense of IRUA staff making individual visits to all 15,600+ customer properties, IRUA is asking all customers to complete this five minute survey. The survey is designed to efficiently collect the information required by the EPA which will prevent you from having to schedule an appointment with an IRUA service tech to come out to your property and assess the service line for the presence of lead or copper.
You will need the five-digit account number that appears on your water bill to complete the survey.
Please complete one survey for each service address that is provided water service by IRUA.
